It's the evening of Sept 23rd at Repton School Nad Al Sheba, summer is dwindling and the tennis season has just begun. Emilio Sanchez is hosting the first event of the year and the stage is set for our 12 and under mixed tournament to begin.

Two round robin groups were fiercely contested by the players, playing through the dusk and into the evening under the flood lights. Ultimately, it was Lilian Peters who powered through group A with the loss of just 2 games! And Dylan Henry surmounting the opposition in group B with some excellent tennis.

An epic battle of 3/4 place playoff was held between Raffaele Fiamingo and Shuayb Thahamuzammil, with Raffaele eventually coming through 6-3 plahying well into the evening.

Across the courts, Lilian and Dylan were under way in the final, and going with serve throughout the majority of the set, some great tennis was being played and the match was poised to swing in either direction. It was Henry who held his nerve in the final moments of the encounter and triumphed with a 6-4 victory to take home the trophy!

A big shout out to Emilio Sanchez for hosting an excellent tournament, and to all the players and parents who came to participate.

We look forward to seeing you in the next event
